Do I need a passport to visit Canada?

The laws regarding this are very strange. You do not need a passport to get into Canada, but in order to return to The United States you need to present your passport. Everyone ages 16 and over need a passport. Children ages 15 and under need a birth certificate or another form of ID.

Can I buy bait and tackle in camp?

Yes, minnows are available in camp to purchase by the dozen. A small tackle shop is also available in the Main Lodge.


What do I need to bring?

If you have the housekeeping package you need to bring your own food for the week, beverages, clothes, towel, fishing gear, and personal floatation devices. If you have the American plan, all meals are included, but you might want to bring snacks and beverages. Nets and anchors are available in camp for use. Charcoal grills are available at each cabin, but you must bring your own charcoal. We recommend you bring your own outdoor seating, but we do have picnic tables around camp.

Can I bring my own boat?

Private boats are welcome. Rates do not change, but will be entitled to dockage, use of portage boats and motors, and includes up to 18 gallons of gas to be used in your boat only, while a guest at Timber Point Camp.

Can I bring my jet ski?

Jet skis are not allowed on Aerobus Lake due to noise and pollution.

Do I need to bring my own PFD's?

Yes, you MUST bring your own personal floatation device. Timber Point Camp cannot provide PFD's for guests.

Is there internet access or wireless?

At this time internet access is not available in camp. Will will be looking into this for the future.

Can we get a fishing guide?

A fishing guide is available for a daily rate of $100 and includes shore lunch. The guide is available for any sort of fishing on Aerobus or on our portage lakes.

Besides fishing and hunting, what else is there to do at Timber Point Camp?

Timber Point Camp is definitely a place for the entire family. Besides fishing and hunting our guests can enjoy ATV trails, hiking trails, beaches, swimming, sauna, canoeing, playground, tetherball, and much more.

How big are the fish?

The “trophy trout” are 9 to 12 lbs, and most people will bring in an average catch in the range of 4 to 5 lbs. Northern pike will average in the same weight range. Walleye average to be around 2 to 3 lbs.

Is the water safe to drink?

Our lake water is very clean due to the remoteness of Aerobus lake, but to ensure cleanliness, we filter the water that comes out of the tap in our cabins.

Can I get my fish cleaned for me?

Yes, but for a fee. We can also teach you how to clean your own fish.

Can I bring my pet?

No, due to insurance reasons, we do not allow pets in camp.

Can I use my credit card?

No, the use of credit cards in camp is not available. We do not accept personal checks either. Cash or travelers checks only please.
